Skills for LifeLong Learning, Earning and Living

Welcome to Lincoln Public Schools Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department.

Students in Lincoln Public Schools are required to take 15 hours of Applied Arts Credits (with at least 5 credits in Fine Arts and 5 credits in Applied Arts (CTE courses) to meet graduation requirements.  In addition, students are required to take 10 hours of technology requirements that are met through many CTE courses.  After taking a progression of CTE courses, many students are also able to count their CTE high school courses for college credit through arrangements with postsecondary institutions.

Middle School students participate in Career and Technical Education areas in each of the 6th, 7th and 8th grade years. These Academic Connections courses are designed to give a variety of experiences to students and to help them begin making choices about their interests and career paths.
