Knight House

Knight House is an after school program located in the media center. Any student who wants a safe and supervised place to study or hang out after school can go the media center until 5:00 p.m. (If you come after 3:30 p.m. you must have a pass from your teacher.) LSE staff and youth development workers from the Lighthouse will be available to assist students with academic, personal or social issues.

Board of Education discusses High School Career Center recommendation

The Lincoln Board of Education Tuesday discussed a recommendation to develop and establish a high school career center for the school district, a facility that would feature blocks of career-related classes to match the specific employment and job needs of the community. The Board will take a final vote in July.

May is National Bike Month. Last Friday, about forty Southeast students and staff participated in the 2nd annual critical mass bike ride, organized by the Southeast Wellness and Sustainability Team. We rode a 4.4 mile loop around the neighborhood! Go Bikes!!

Lincoln Public Schools will host a Public Information Night at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, on the proposed high school Career Center for the school district. The meeting – scheduled at Lux Middle School, 7800 High St. – is open to anyone in the community and will include a presentation, time for questions and answers, and an opportunity for community input and feedback.
