Session Description

How long do your lessons stick? What is it that makes a concept memorable? What kinds of experiences engage thinking in a way that leaves an imprint? Join in to experience these dynamic lessons and learn what makes them different from a digital worksheet. Time will be given to explore many sample lessons, learn best practices for creating your own, and ideas for delivering them in ways to meet the needs of all students.

Lisa Highfill describes herself as a thinker, philosopher, debater, and geek. She has worked in Pleasanton Unified School District in the San Francisco Bay Area for over twenty eight years, and is currently the district’s technology integration specialist working in the new virtual academy. Lisa is the co-creator and co-author of The HyperDoc Handbook and Teachers Give Teachers.
