Annual Great Plains Summit held at Southwest HS

Nearly 450 teachers and school district employees from across the state and region visited Lincoln Southwest High School on Thursday and Friday for the sixth annual Great Plains Summit featuring Google for Education.

The conference brings together educators for two days of sessions led by nationally renowned speakers, with topics ranging from teaching tools such as Google Classroom and Chromebooks, productivity apps such as Google Docs and Forms, and exploration and research apps such as Google Earth and YouTube.

Sessions included: Google Tools for Struggling Students; Little Global Citizens in a Great Big Digital World; Google Classroom: An Advanced Guide; and Unleashing Student Creativity with 360° Storytelling.

The conference is organized by Nebraska Educational Service Units 6, 9 and 18, which is affiliated with Lincoln Public Schools.
