LPS 2020 Scholastic Art Awards

Lincoln Public Schools middle and high school artists were honored Saturday, Feb. 29 during the 2020 Scholastic Arts Awards Ceremony held in Omaha. Out of the 147 pieces from LPS receiving awards, 39 pieces received the Gold Key award with a chance to move on to national competition. Umayah Murad, North Star senior, also received an American Visions nomination with her photography piece titled "Escaping the Noise".

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are the nation’s longest-running and most prestigious recognition program for creative teens in grades 7–12.
